This preview is not a paid advertisement but done by a bike rider that has 25+ years of riding experience. This is my take on the bike without any influence from the manufacturer. I’m not going to get into what everyone else is talking about, that while important to Triumph and maybe fanboys, but the Speed Triple has retained a lot of its original looks and character even though the bike itself is all new. According to Triumph they have centralized and lowered the mass of this bike even down to the low exhaust. The only thing about that is I hope there is an aftermarket alternative that is smaller and shows off that gorgeous single-sided swingarm Horsepower is rated at 177 with 92-foot lbs of torque which gives it an awesome power to weight ratio. The torque curves that Triumph is releasing show that there is no real loss of horsepower and torque down low and that this thing should pull like a whipped mule! -Sure there are other bikes out there that have a few more ponies, but what I like about Triumph’s claims is that they thought a lot about what a naked bike is for and kept the weight down, and worked on getting low end, pull away from a light power for everyday use. .
