October 12, 2020. What an amazing day! I decided on a whim to go for a walk to see what the train had early this morning when I heard the horn. My jaw just about hit the floor when I saw a high hood! This would be the first time 1729 has moved in nearly 11 years! heading to Barre to be temporarily stored. And then an hour later, another hecking surprise! 2100 trailing, headed to Palmer to be serviced... 2100 had been parked in barre for 5 years, since the bluebirds came out. It is an Ex Southern EMD NW5. After this excitement, I went back home and no sooner did I get home, did i hear a Leslie horn, so I high-tailed it back to the tracks to get yet another train! On the way home, the train had a locked axle on the trailing box car. I did tell the railroad. Hope you enjoy!
