Tombs of Buganda Kings being rebuilt after a massive fire at this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Uganda. ブガンダ王国歴代国王の墓は、ユネスコの世界遺産として登録されています。火災で焼失し現在再建中です。 This is a VR180 video. Located on Kasubi hillside in Kampala, this is an active religious site in Buganda Kingdom. Four Kabakas (kings of Buganda) are buried here along with members of the Baganda royal family. Originally built in 1882, the site became a royal burial ground in 1884. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. You can read more here: https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1022/ Much of Kasubi Tombs was destroyed by a massive fire in March 2010. The cause of the fire has still not been established. The site has since been added to the list of World Heritage Sites in Danger. The site is currently still being rebuilt. Reconstruction started in 2014. I was able to walk around with a guide and check out the progress. I hope to return when the site has been restored. Please take into consideration that bathrooms are not available for visitors.
