Forest Fires have posing challenges for us...might as well go paddling The last week has posed significant challenges to us up here with dozens of our guests stranded within Woodland Caribou Park due to forest fire activity. With the changing winds, the land has been blanketed with smoke. Unable to fly, it's been a frustrating time. Not just for us, but for those stuck in the bush. Most are doing well though, with positive attitudes and are understanding of the circumstances. Unable to get anything done, I spent the evening with Dudley. Traveling all the way from Australia, he's been with us the last 2 weeks, exploring Woodland Caribou Park, and now hanging out before his return to the land down under. Into the smoke, we travelled down the lake, pulled up to an island and made dinner over the fire while enjoying a nice chat about his experience. It's interesting hearing someone's perspective of this wilderness after they've retuned from their first trip. It makes me appreciate Canada that much more now!
