The GWR 2-8-0 Tank 4270 and (Turkish) LMS 8F 2-8-0 8274 shared duties on a sunny but chilly August day. Unfortunately 4270 failed on her last outward train and had to be replaced by a decidedly unpretty 47. This may have explained her disappointingly under-powered performances during most of the day. My congratulations to Brian who maintains Gotherington Station (which also happens to be his home!) in such a beautiful condition. 4270 at Didbrook, Gretton Meadows and Gotherington. 8274 at Toddington, Gotherington and Gretton Meadows.
