Supporting were local engines GWR Manor 7820 Dinsmore Manor, GWR 2-8-0T 4270, GWR 2-8-0 2807 and GWR Prairie 5542. 34092 at Dixton cutting and on Defford straight; 7820 at Didbrook, Stanton and Winchcombe; 2807 at Hailes; 6960 on Defford straight and at Gretton Meadows; 4270 at Greet Tunnel and Hailes; 34007 at Southam and Chicken Curve; 34007 and 34092 double heading at Gretton Meadows; 5542 at Greet Tunnel.
