The traditional pre-Christmas GCR Event took place in windy conditions with plenty of early sunshine, but the timetable was subsequently compromised by a points failure at Loughborough Station. Locomotives: 9F 92214, LNER N2 1744, SR King Arthur 777 Sir Lamiel, LMS Black 5 45305 and GWR Hall 6990 Witherslack Hall. 92214 leaving Swithland sidings with the goods, then at Quorn; 1744 leaving Quorn and the slack at Swithland Viaduct; 777 approaching and leaving Quorn; 45305 at Quorn; 92214 at Woodthorpe and Epinal Way Bridge; 777 with the goods at Charnwood Water and Woodthorpe; 6990 at Quorn (goods), Woodthorpe and Swithland.
