Having left my visit to the line a little late, I was lucky to experience the wonderful conditions with sunshine and snow, which had prevailed since the 27th. An additional advantage was that because most photographers had 'filled their boots' in the intervening period, there were few hi-viz jackets to mar the footage. Britannia Class 4-6-2 70013 Oliver Cromwell, which faced north for the first time, shared duties with 2-6-0 Ivatt 46521. 70013 is seen at Rothley (twice) and leaving Quorn; 46521 is seen approaching Quorn, running through Swithland and passing near Thurcaston with the sun about to set.
