The gala was dedicated to the loco shed based in Wrexham (Croes Newydd) which supplied the motive power for the Llangollen Railway. Visitors GWR Mogul 5322 and BR Pannier Tank 1638 joined the home fleet locomotives - GWR 2-8-0 3802 and BR Standard Tank 80072. 3802 and 5322 at Goods Junction; 3802 at Berwyn and Berwyn Tunnel; 1638 at Geufron (with suburban) and Glyndyfrdwy (with goods); 80072 at Deeside, Glyndyfrdwy (with suburban); 5322 at Berwyn, Garthydwr and Glyndyfrdwy.
