The early weather for the SVR Spring Gala was dull and misty and there was a paucity of action during a frustrating morning. Guest locomotive 6990 Witherslack Hall was failed with a broken spring and newly returned 7802 Bradley Manor was also failed. This left GWR Panniers 6412 and 6430, with local engines 34053 Sir Keith Park, 34027 Taw Valley, 7812 Erlestoke Manor, 2857 and 43106 to bear the brunt of the workload. 6430 leaving Bewdley with the autotrain; 6412 leaving Bewdley South with the goods; 2857 on Northwood Bank and Bewdley station; 34053 leaving Bewdley and at Tenbury Wall; 7812 at Foley Park Tunnel; 6412 at Foley Park Tunnel and at Tenbury Wall with 6430; 34027 at Northwood Bank and Stourport Junction; 43106 leaving Bewdley.
