This deceivingly 'easy' piece, can be played a thousand different ways. From the slow, and romantic to the fast and boisterous (as in this recording) with all shades in between. A performance that seems perfect one day, one may find it boring the next, and vice versa. The only performance that comes as close to ideal as possible is probably Walter Gieseking's. But then, he was another God of the Piano.
