stretta's video: ivy test 2013-05-26

@ivy test 2013-05-26
This video is a software test and not a musical statement. This project started out as a vine-inspired audio sequence recorder. This spawned a few other ideas and possibly some new Beap modules. What you see in this video is a Max patch that auto creates new audio buffers. There are a few record mechanisms, including a touch activated one to mimic vine's functionality, but the mechanism seen here is a simple threshold recorder which has the added benefit of auto quantizing note onsets. Ivy also gives each buffer a trigger track and places the samples at the appropriate relative location. I'm using the Drum Sequencer from Beap to trigger the buffers. The upside of this was adding monome support was as simple as adding a seralosc bpatcher. Then I set up a camera and used the Beap Recordr module to capture the audio.
