(Originally, it was scheduled to be held in 2020 as a one-time festival that was to replace the annual Summer Sonic that cannot be held in the summer due to the Tokyo Olympics) SUPERSONIC attracted a lot of attention as Japan's first large-scale music event in which overseas artists appeared after the pandemic. Fourteen top artists from both overseas and Japan made appearances on the two day festival, and the huge stage at the stadium had excited the audience who attended. The festival was made possible with the cooperation of artists, staff, and the audience under thorough infection prevention measures and left nobody infected though they came on site.
