Interior designer Kate Jackson breathed new life into the beach house through her unique style, Sunbrella fabric choices and careful consideration of the family’s needs. Durable and fade resistant Sunbrella fabrics in a nautical color palette of white, navy blue and light blue with orange accents flows effortlessly from indoors to out, and new, outdoor furniture is arranged to encourage conversation and maximize the vista from three distinct areas of the deck. Sunbrella sheer draperies frame the beach house windows to soften the space and diffuse the sunlight. Retractable awnings on the exterior of the dining room blend perfectly into the beach house’s cedar shake siding while offering relief from the glare of the morning sun reflecting off the water. The converted third floor bonus room now features kid friendly Sunbrella fabrics in a neutral base of white fabrics with ocean-inspired blues and greens with pops of feminine hot pink.
