You may need to make a few adjustments for time and temperature. You can also use tilapia as a substitute for whiting if you like. Homemade fish breading 2 cups of corn masa having 2 tablespoons of lemon pepper seasoning Recipe for Southern fried whiting in the air fryer 3 pounds of whiting 1/4 cup of hot sauce 2 teaspoons of lemon pepper seasoning 2 cups of fish fry breading Oil spray (canola, vegetable, grapeseed, and avocado oil all work well) 1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees 2. Season the fish with hot sauce and lemon pepper 3. Shake the fish in the fish fry breading mix, then shake off excess 4. Spray both sides of the fish with oil spray 5. Place the fish in the air fryer basket and cook for 6-8 minutes or until the fish is golden brown and crispy.
