Chandrayaan-2, India's Moon mission, has been launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Chandrayaan-2 successfully launched by ISRO on July 22, 2019, by GSLV MkIII-M1 Vehicle at 1443 hours. Three components of the mission an Orbiter, a Lander and a Rover. The duration of Chandrayaan-2 from the earth to the moon has been reduced from 54 days to 46 days. This mission was lead by two women scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Muthayya Vanitha was lead the Chandrayaan-2. Ritu Karidhal worked as a Mission Director and made it possible for India. Chandrayaan-2 mission is to study mineralogy and chemical composition of lunar soil. The launch wishes have been poured to ISRO from citizens across the country. Chandrayaan-2 mission was approved by the Government in September 2008 for a cost of Rs.4.25 billion. Fifth earthbound orbit-raising maneuver for Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft. It performed successfully on August 6, 2019, at 1504 hrs (IST). Chandrayaan-2 successfully entered Lunar Transfer Trajectory. Which was scheduled on August 14, 2019, between 0300 – 0400 hrs (IST). Communication has been lost with Lander Vikram 2.1km from the moon's surface. It's really a success. We lost communication and not our hope. India has vowed that there will be a new dawn and brighter tomorrow. We are proud of our nation and ISRO team for their incredible work.
