Procol Harum, banda legendaria del rock inglés entre 1967 y 1973, cimentó todo su prestigio en una dilatada trayectoria que ha tenido puntos altos y bajos, pero es evidente que el público no especializado los conoce por una sola canción: "A Whiter Shade of Pale". Traducida como "Con su blanca palidez" para los países de habla hispana, esta canción fue sinónimo de la mejor psicodelia inglesa y conquistó los charts del mundo en 1967. Gary Brooker fue el autor de la música y Keith Reid compuso la letra de esta canción inolvidable que de acuerdo con el primero, fue inspirada por dos trabajos de Johann Sebastian Bach.
