Debbie Gibson was the Taylor Swift of the 80s - hugely successful pop princess and song writer responsible for some of the most annoyingly catchy earworms of the period. You wouldn't necessarily own up to being a Debbie Gibson fan back in the day, but even now everytime I see a campfire somewhere somehow, my brain farts out those immortal lines "If you say jump I say how high ..." Her star shone brighltly across 2 seminal pop albums, then burnt out into relative obscurity along with the Tiffanys and the rest of the mall filling spiky haired brood. So the production is bog standard tinny 80s digital sheen and the lyrics at timers scan rather awkwardly, but it gets the shoulders shaking and the knees bending, not to mention the aerobics head rolls complete with gell encrusted scrunchies.
