...Yeah, I bet a lot of people are looking at the title like -- wait, what? Didn't you already make a piece for this MEP? Well, yes -- I picked up another part toward the end, this time centering around Ms. Goatette and Anteaterina, two very minor characters from episodes 2 and 9, respectively. Using Ms. Goatette was super-duper challenging, as nearly all of her clips involve her standing still and showing very little emotion, so I figured this would be the perfect time to go for the Kuleshov Effect (never heard of it? Here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuleshov_Effect ), and use the clips to tell the story around her. The way I see it, it's got to be pretty hard being an anthropomorphic character in the PT universe -- yes, you do see one famous cat danseur in episode 14 in Mr. Cat's flashback, and Mr. Cat himself is reasonably important, but the majority of Mr. Cat's class and Kinkan in general are human. Imagine how that would be for an animal like Anteaterina, or even Ms. Goatette, to grow up in, especially when it seems as though there aren't very many multiples in each species (example: we don't ever see a female cat character until the story goes back to normal, and we never see any other anteaters, goats, crocodiles, armadillos, or chihuahuas besides the ones introduced to us). Anteaterina especially, feeling jealous of a beautiful human ballerina like Rue, must have felt very hurt indeed -- heck, we don't even know how good the *rest* of the advanced class was, were those four (humans) really better than Anteaterina? And of course Ms. Goatette, and later the Sloth, despite their affection for Mr. Cat, aren't good enough in his eyes -- instead he chases after young, human girls (creepy). So that's how I approached this -- Ms. Goatette sees Anteaterina and sees the hurt that she felt herself when she was younger and now attempts to hide, but then sees later that Anteaterina is going to try her best to be herself despite how hard it may get.
