LEGO RCX Race Car Datasheet: Completion Date: June 2015 Controller: LEGO RCX Unit Sensors: (2x) Touch Sensors and (1x) Light Sensor Motors: Technic Mini Motor 9V for (1x) Driving and Steering (1x) Dimensions: Wide 21 Studs / Long 29 Studs Weight: 0.370 kg The LEGO RCX Race Car is seeking for the brightest spot, navigating with two touch sensors mounted left and right at the front spoiler and a light sensor located at the top. It is steered based on a simple PI-Controller with the proportional error (P) equal to the touch sensor pressed and an integral (I) counting the last five occurrences of the touch sensors. Alas the LEGO RCX Unit has unexpectedly abandon operation in the middle of a test run and could not be restored successfully. However the thirst for knowledge remains but technology evolves - EV3 is approaching.
