toc1955's video: Half-life of the fluorescence decay

@Half-life of the fluorescence decay
(Adolf Cortel, May 2021) Fluorescence decay of some minerals. Measurement of the half-life. A simple setup consisting of a 405 nm violet laser with a driver allowing TTL modulation (by means of a signal generator and an optocoupler) and a photodiode as a detector connected to a NI myDAQ module, allow capturing the fluorescence decay of some minerals (calcite, apatites, spinel). By means of Labview software the fit of an exponential function to the decay data gives the half-life of the ions responsible for the fluorescence. Regarding the music, the impressive version of “Prelude of a kiss” by Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges, I have not the rights and I use it ony for the educational purposes to which the video is aimed.
