Darjeeling Mall Tour Shopping at Darjeeling Mall Market The famous Darjeeling mall is the heart of this hilly town. Everytime you come here, you will encounter a large crowd. In the morning, you can see the gorgeous mountain peaks from here. People were roaming in the open area of the Mall. There were small gatherings here and there. People are talking with each other and having fun. Horses are ready to start there day. Children are enjoying horse ride encircling the observatory hill. The outside is bright and sunny. As it nears the evening, the ambiance of this place changes rapidly. We went there in the evening. We entered the area from the Chowrasta side. At the entrance of the opening, young singers were performing. A small crowd were enjoying the performance. People were moving from one side to another. They were busy doing shopping. Some were eating titbits from the roadside vendors. The ambience was vibrant. We went along this road till the end and then entered the Mahakal market. It’s a roadside market run by the local people. They mostly sell local handmade woollen garments. People were busy bargaining here to get the best sweater or woollen cap. Next, we entered the part of the mall where people were selling street food. We found that this section maximum crowded. Street Chowmein to chicken fries, masala muri to chats, local snacks, momo thukpa whatever you want you will get here.
