are you aware of how vast the universe is? how we live in a single planet among any other planets, how our milky way is part of the many unreachable galaxies in space, and how billions of light years away is the presence of other possible life forms apart from the ones we only know today. no matter how much of it we continue to discover, the immensity of this cosmos will always be beyond my grasp. "do i even have a meaning to this world? why should i strive for my existence to matter when in a few years after i'm gone, it'll live on as if i never made a difference?" these are some of the thoughts that often bother me and whenever i reflect deeply on it, i feel so small than i already am. after all, we are nothing but a mere speck in the timeline of the universe; a fleeting and inessential moment among the birth of many stars and the continuous expansion of space. sometimes too, i feel disheartened to move forward because i have yet to accept that there are a lot of things in this life that i will never get to do, say, experience, or feel anymore just because we and the people we cherish are slowly reaching our ends and returning to dust. the world isn't ours and it does not revolve for anyone, even if at times it seemingly tries to conspire against us and the paths we choose to take. that's why it's always terrifying to be just me before the grandness of the universe. but beyond all that, i am thankful to be brought back to my senses every time i remember them: kim namjoon, kim seokjin, min yoongi, jung hoseok, park jimin, kim taehyung and jeon jungkook. bts — whom i could have missed meeting if i were born one lifetime late; whose music would not transcend through me have i opened my eyes to another sunrise in an entirely different galaxy; whose love i would not be able to experience if i did not become the same, insignificant fragment of life i was so afraid of embracing. bts, who found me and saved me and gave me a name, army, that i can be proud of bearing, is the same bts who had nothing but a dream to hold onto eight years ago. they are nothing to the universe just like you and me and everyone in this world, but the love that all seven of them imparted to us is incomparable to anything else that the universe can offer. the world may not be ours and there's a lot of uncertainty to face as we traverse through it, but the very moments we get to spend together for eight years and until now are reminders enough that we are together in this life at the very least. we will find each other and know of bangtan's love even if the stars don't align and the universe doesn't move for us. here's to our forever and always with bts. 💜 ♡ content used are for entertainment purposes only; no copyright infringement intended.
