YouTube Marketing with tubics's video: NEW YouTube Rules - Is Your Channel Prepared

@NEW YouTube Rules - Is Your Channel Prepared?
What are the new YouTube rules in 2020 that your channel should be aware of? Today, Jan from @So geht YouTube explains new features, YouTube changes and COPPA rules that might affect your YouTube channel in the upcoming year 2020. ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Intro 00:45 - COPPA rules 01:50 - Live CTR (Click-Through-Rate) data 03:25 - Community Posts 04:28 - YouTube stories 05:32 - YouTube mentions 06:05 - YouTube Memberships 06:35 - The new YouTube studio In this video, we will talk about the big YouTube changes that are currently happening and how they will affect your channel specifically in 2020. YouTube Change No. 1: COPPA Regardless of your location, YouTube requires you to tell them whether or not your videos are made for kids. Youtube is making these changes according to an agreement with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Failure to set your content appropriately may result in consequences on YouTube or have legal consequences under COPPA and other laws. If your brand is specially targeted towards children, make sure to set the settings as we showed you in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzzl_HANO_E. YouTube Change No. 2: Live CTR data Not a lot of people know about this new YouTube feature that gives you the click-through rate data already three hours after you've published the video. Why is it important? First of all, you will be able to adjust the thumbnail and title depending on how the video is performing. If the CTR is low, it means that your video doesn’t grab a lot of attention, hence people are not clicking on it. In order to effectively use this feature, measure your baseline CTR for older videos. If your new video is underperforming compared to the previous ones, take immediate action to change the title or thumbnail to get more clicks. YouTube Change No. 3. Community posts Creators with access to the Community posts can interact with viewers using rich media. Community posts can include polls, GIFs, text, images, and video. Community posts can give you more reach on YouTube and greater engagement with your audience. Creators with over 1,000 subscribers have access to Community posts. It will take up to 1 week to see the Community tab after passing 1,000 subscribers. The Community tab may also be available to other channels as we continue testing this feature. YouTube Change No. 4. YouTube stories Stories are short, mobile-only videos that allow you to connect with your audience more casually, on the go. Stories will expire after 7 days. You'll see the number of views, comments, and likes on each of your own story posts at the bottom of the player, or the total number of views across all posts in a story via the Stories tab on your channel page. Only you can see the number of views, comments, and likes on an active story. YouTube Change No. 5: Mentions When you mention another creator in your video title or description, their name will link to their channel page and they’ll get a notification in their inbox. A video that mentions your channel may show up to your fans as a recommendation, but the presence of your channel in that video doesn’t increase the likelihood of it appearing to your fans. When creating or editing the title or description of a video, type the "@" symbol followed by their channel name. Only creators with more than 1,000 subscribers can be mentioned. YouTube Change No. 6: Memberships Channel memberships allow viewers to join your channel through monthly recurring payments and get members-only perks like badges, emoji, and other goods you offer. Check if you to meet the minimum requirements to be considered for channel memberships on YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7636690?hl=en&ref_topic=7581081 YouTube Change No. 7: The new YouTube studio YouTube Studio is the new home for creators. You can manage your presence, grow your channel, interact with your audience, and make money all in one place. Creator Studio is going away soon, but you can temporarily go back by selecting Creator Studio Classic from the left menu. ▬ About tubics ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ is a Video Marketing software that helps businesses and YouTube creators to rank their videos better on search engines like YouTube and Google.
