HAVACILIK DAİRE BAŞKANLIĞI Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü Havacılık Daire Başkanlığımız, 19 Ekim 1981 tarihinde kurulmuş ve SA-318C Alouette helikopterleriyle hizmet vermeye başlamıştır. Halen Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Diyarbakır, Adana, Antalya ve Van olmak üzere 7 merkez ilimizde hizmet vermektedir. Envanterimizde Sikorsky Blackhawk S70A, Sikorsky Blackhawk S70i, Bell 206L, Bell 429 model helikopterler ve Beechcraft King Air B350i, Cessna Citation xls uçakları ile çeşitli türlerde İHA ve SİHA hava araçları bulunmaktadır. Havacılık Daire Başkanlığı; kuruluşundan bu yana geçen zaman içinde bir çok konuda önemli mesafe katetmiştir. Kuruluş yıllarında bünyesinde Emniyet Hizmetleri sınıfı uçucu pilot yok iken, günümüzde Emniyet Hizmetleri sınıfı pilotlarımızı, Emniyet Hizmetleri sınıfı bakım yöneticisi ve uçuş ekibi ile hizmetlerini yerine getirmektedir.
