Back in Bangkok! After a couple of nights stuck out in the rain in HCMC the flu has hit us pretty hard since arriving - but that is not going to stop us from Urban Exploring this amazing city! We had to see these massive planes for ourselves, and Nomadasaurus helped us get there with their awesome step by step blog - straight onto the Canal Express all the way to the end, through the Temples, turn right and keep to that side of the highway and walk about 200 metres just over the bridge there literally was a massive 747 plane just abandoned in the field. There are squatters here, they have chained up the front gate and will let you in for 200 Baht each, don't barter with them - just have your money ready (i'm going to say they won't have change) As for little Pete our guide, we hate to say but he was incredibly annoying... asking for money every moment we were with him and just not giving up, swinging on everything and just making us cringe that he was going to fall and hurt himself badly on the hundreds of sharp and exposed metals that are everywhere. Little Pete promptly forgot about us when we handed over 5 Baht, it was better to see him safe with his family than swing around with us! The plane itself was an absolute mess, just a chaos of broken metals, torn out windows, rubbish and graffiti - it was quite haunting to be honest. We were surprised of the sheer size of the plane, especially compared to the little ones strewn around the field beside it. We enjoyed out Urban Adventure day - something a little outside of the norm that we love! Please check back in on Wednesday - we mentioned something about visas didn't we???
