It is the sequel to Hyrule Warriors (2014), a crossover between Koei's Dynasty Warriors series and Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series. The story is set before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Age of Calamity is set 100 years before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
