video production's video: USA SNOW Heavy snow blankets Connecticut

@USA SNOW (Heavy snow blankets Connecticut)
Heavy snowfall caused schools to shut down and kept police and emergency crews busy as winter weather packed another punch in Connecticut on Tuesday (February 18). Local media reported the snow has caused white-out conditions, causing numerous accidents on the highways. Area police have responded to nearly a thousand calls for help. The successive winter storms have prompted concerns about a shortage of rock salt, which is used to help melt ice and snow packed road and public areas. Connecticut on Tuesday was still awaiting new shipments of salt after Governor Dannel Malloy last week declared a state of emergency because of dwindling supplies. The state said it was asking for assistance from both the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the White House. "The problem is - down south had a bad winter this year and that usually doesn't happen so there's usually enough to re-stock. This year there isn't," said hardware store owner Jeff Schmidt. Some snow-weary residents say they are just tired of constantly having to shovel their sidewalks. "It is New England, and it's expected. But it just gets to a point where you can't shovel it any higher. And, you know, I'm ready for spring. I'm ready," said Connecticut resident Sue system.scripts.. The area was expected to receive up to 5 inches (13 inches) of snow
