About 5 years ago I went on a short holiday to Sicily an Island which is part of Italy, I stayed in a beautiful medieval town named Taormino, The town is built on two levels, one part is near sea level on the Ionian sea, here you can enjoy all the benefits of modern day beach activities, the other part of Taormino is built on higher ground and can be reached by climbing steps or use Cable car or you can drive a car route. Close by is another small town named Castelmola, which is literally built on top of a rock, it would take a healthy person to climb all the steps from Taormino to Castelmola, Another place of interest is Mount Etna, it is one of the most active volcano's in the world and the tallest active volcano on the European continent, Here are pics from my scrapbook.
