Chitrakoot is the place where Bharat - brother of Lord Rama visited him and requested him to come back to Ayodhya and rule the kingdom. Lord Rama had spent 12 years in Chitrakoot, so during our visit we realized that there is so much of religious important attached to this place that people from all over the world visit Chitrakoot and pay their respect. Chitrakoot is about 230 km away from Lucknow and 295 km away from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, 260 km from Varanasi. Chitrakoot falls both under UP & MP. This video was shot on 4th April 2023, below are the activities we did throughout the day. We started our day from Arogya Dham, Chitrakoot. Tariff Rs 5500 with GST for double occupancy. Link: https://www.youtube.com/@harishbalitravels7816 Ram Ghat - It is the main point of Chitrakoot dham, situated across the holy river Mandakini. Shri Matyagajendra Temple - Ancient temple dedicated to lord shiva. Situated at Ram ghat Kamadgiri Temple - Holy temple of Lord Kamtanath, people does the parikrama around the Holy mountain Kamadgiri which is about 5 to 6 km. Hanuman Dhara - Located at a Hilltop, We took the ropeway to reach the temple - Rs 145 per person, in this temple you will get the darshan of the stream flowing above the idol of lord hanuman, that stream is of saraswati river. Sita ki Rasoi - to reach this temple one needs to climb about 150 steps from Hanuman dhara. This place where mata sita used to cook. Anandram Jaipuria smriti bhawan - We had lunch, Satvik thali - Rs 170. Here you get a variety of food, cooked in a traditional chulha. Gupt Godavari - This is located in madhya pradesh, as per the folklore the godavari wanted to see the lord rama, godavari river flows from Trimbakeshwar Nashik, here a stream of godavari flow secretly from Natural cave gathered its water in a pond & then vanish. There is also a story, during the rainy season, lord ram darbar conducts under this natural cave. Ram Ghat - We came to ram ghat to do the boating along with to see the evening aarti & laser show. Later on I was told by a local that this light and sound show usually happens during weekends. Hope you enjoyed watching this episode.
