Kalpi is a historical city in Uttar Pradesh. It is about 35 km away from Orai and 165 km away from Lucknow. Kalpi is also famous for its specialisation in providing Handmade Paper with different designs and patterns in different thicknesses and sizes which are suitable for a variety of decorative purposes. In this video you will see our road journey from Kalpi to Jhansi. This video was shot on 8th April 2023, below are the activities we did throughout the day. Lanka Minar - Mathura Prasad had built this Lanka in the memory of Ravana. This tower is about 210 meters high. Huge statues of Ravana's brother Kumbhakarna and Meghnath are made at the Lanka Minar. The statue of Kubhkarna is 100 feet and the 65 feet statue of Meghnath is present here. Sajan Dhaba - We had breakfast here. This dhaba is located near Chaurasi Gumbad. Aloo Paratha with Curd - Rs 160 Chaurasi Gumbad - It is also known as Lodi Shah’s tomb built in the 15-16th century. This ancient building has eighty-four doors. The entire building is divided into a square shape in the form of a chessboard. The building has a dome of 60 feet in height. This building is at a distance of 1 km from kalpi. Annapurna Enterprises (Kapli) - We saw the paper production process here. Van Vishram Bhawan (Kalpi) - This 35 feet high beautiful rectangular building with a huge dome above it, the ruins of the fort of Chandelas. This building was used by Rani Jhansi and other freedom fighters during the mid 19th century.. Especially during 1857 mutiny period. Veda Vyas Temple - This place is situated on a hill on the banks of the river Yamuna. Here is the birthplace of Lord Ved Vyasa. This temple is very ancient. There is a Neem tree in this temple, whose specialty is that the trunk and branches of this tree are like the head of an elephant. This neem tree is believed to be a representation of Lord Ganesha.Who helped Ved Vyas Ji in writing the Mahabharata. Pachnada View Point - This is the point where you can see five different rivers sangam. Yamuna, Sindh, Pahuj, Kunwari, Chambal rivers meet here. In the evening we had dinner at a dhaba on the highway on the way to Jhansi and ended our day at Jhansi. Hope you enjoyed watching this episode.
