warmhearted19's video: I edit for me please pass along

...and the people who have believed in and encouraged me. This video was not made by me, nor is this my voice speaking. But I would like to convey that my feelings about editing are completely mutual to the speaker's. I've worked hard to get to where I'm at today in my editing...I still have a lot to learn and things that I want to achieve. I work with film not because I want fame and subscribers....I do it because I enjoy it! To be able to create something, to express my views and work with music...that is why I edit. I also edit because I support the movement of art and the ability to capture emotions within and through your work. Within all of us is the need to create, and for those who practice film-making and editing footage, this is our way of taking part in that movement. There have been times when someone has praised me on my editing....and following that praise shortly after is a put-down towards themselves. "There's no way I could do this." "I can't edit film." "I wish I could." Every compliment is welcomed and deeply valued to me... But it is when I see those put-downs that I want to intervene and tell all of you that you CAN! You CAN edit! You CAN create! There is nothing standing in your way! If you want to achieve something, don't let yourself be dragged down by self-doubt. Believe in yourselves and what you are capable of. If you're looking up to a great editor, remember that they had to start somewhere too! We are all human and no one is better than the other. Express yourself and don't fear judgment. It is fear of judgment that hold us back from truly being able to breathe and accept ourselves. I edit for myself and for the love of the hobby. I miss all of you! My laptop's hard drive crashed back in December, and so I've been on hiatus for the past couple months. I hope to return again soon, loves. Best of luck to you all and please pass this video along.
