For Matt. Matt is one of my best friends and has all of the attributes one could hope for in a person; he's exceedingly intelligent, loyal, honest, reliable, and hilarious. He impressed me when I saw him perform an unsolicited act of kindness when he thought no one else was paying attention. "Now there is a good person," I remember thinking. He definitely is. --- This is part of The Academy series. The Academy is a group of close friends and a think tank that communes regularly to discuss all aspects of MTG, personal life, school, work, current events, and so forth that arose spontaneously and organically a few years ago and has been a constant source of inspiration and absolutely wicked humor. The Academy is not pretentious even though the description offered above inadvertently makes it sound so. It's simply difficult to express how much these brilliant men and women mean to me without sounding like a total d-bag. :-) ----
