I went on a Saturday morning in September 2022 from Cuzco by train, but without the prized ticket for Machu Pichu. But luckily, after some queuing, I was able to purchase 1 in the town of Aguas Calientes at the base of the mountain that leads up to Machu Pichu. All in all, a great experience!
