This show has some special way to always touch very important subjects in such a reachable yet powerful manner! I have thought that since way back when I started watching the series. This one quote about war, which I just had to do something with and which I made the baseline for this video, is a favorite of mine. I did turn it back and forth in my head and it had me thinking about the purpose of art as well (not that it always has to have one). I think "what you do with that pain" is very much a suitable connection to draw to art. Writing, video editing, music, painting, movies etc. It all really starts with something in your own head that you experience and then you transform it into something. You can say so much by just using what's inside your heart and mind if you choose to be creative with it. I have a saying of my own "the strongest feelings awake when the moon breaks out in sunlight". It's sort of about turning your pain into a meaningful message and what it can convey. Yeah, it's about a turning point in the way you channel emotions. "Hopefulness" is the key word I guess. :) It goes the other way too (all we know emotions go all the ways haha?) and sometimes the story that needs to be told is one where the sun falls into moonlight. Ah, well, my head has been a complete mess lately so I felt like I needed to edit something like this. It's also great to use some other loved fandoms of mine. I don't edit everything I watch/enjoy separately so this gives me that opportunity. Lots of my favorite messages and stuff in this. I also like to say something that I've had in my mind about art as well. It kind of connects to what I have already said so I'll just rant on, haha. So, guys, I really want to encourage everyone that feels like they have a need inside of them to express or create something to just get on and do it! It really just comes down to what you are and what you want to put out there. And that’s it, that all it takes. Whatever you got, please bring it. It can be so important. It goes for everything, it goes for video editing. You don’t have to do perfect, you just have to do. And I seriously believe this folks, that if you do what you want, with your heart and with passion, the value of it will remain. You’ll look back at what you created one day and you’ll have evolved and you will be like ‘well sh*t that cropping, that coloring, that quality, that text etc, etc”. Trust me I do that ALL THE TIME.. but at the end of the day, those videos I made with my heart and they still move me and it moves me even more to see how it touched others. It is not perfect, FAR from it, but it was what I could do back then and it was conveyed with love and enjoyment. That’s why I can still like it. I see ‘me’ in it despite the flaws. Technical skills is a big advantaged but not a necessity to start creating. I say this to anyone who’s debating whether they should or should not do something. It’s when you do, that you learn. When you don’t do, you never learn. It’s a journey, you can’t be good until you start traveling. And don’t look back in anger at your mistakes because they are a part of it. If you enjoyed what you did, you did it right. If not, think again. Everyone does things differently and when creating that’s the beauty of it. So do it your own way and you’ll do it correctly. I say this because I’ve felt this way my whole life about art and life in general. When someone does something with their heart, you will know, you will feel it, without the fine lines. There is something that happens when you experience something like that.. and you just go “oh okay, this feels like life” and it fills you up. All it takes is that SOMETHING and that something is not perfection, it’s just something that goes right into you. And you never know when it will hit you or really if you create it yourself, its just that kind of thing where it hits the spot. So you go, folks, you go and do what you want to do and use your soul. Because you can do wonders I think! Listen and learn and try things, you'll always get better, but don’t loose your passion while thinking you are failing.
