Bollywood s first female superstar Sridevidied on February 24, 2018, reportedly due to accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub after losing consciousness. The actress had gone to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah s wedding along with husband Boney Kapoorand daughter Khushi in Dubai while Janhvi Kapoor couldn t even be there for the wedding owing to her shoot schedule. Janhvi saw her mother last was when she had left for Dubai for Mohit Marwah s wedding, but little did she know that she would never get to see her mom again. While the Dubai police had held Sridevi’s mortal remains and not release it for embalming or repatriation until the probe was on, many tinsel town celebs paid a visit to Sridevi’s brother-in-law Anil Kapoor’s house to offer condolences to the Kapoor family. However, the mortal remains of the actress have been brought back to India late on Tuesday (March 1, 2018) night on a charter flight (a private jet courtesy Anil Ambani). Anil Kapoor and Amar Singh among other members of the Kapoor family had been to the Mumbai to receive Sridevi’s remains, which was then carried to Boney Kapoor’s house in Green Acres, Lokhandwala, Andheri by an ambulance. After Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Venkatesh, Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor, among other celebrities offered their condolences to the Kapoor family before the actress’ arrival in Mumbai, Sridevi’s Chaand Kaa Tukdaa co-Star Salman Khan, who is a close friend of the Kapoors, arrived to offer his condolences at midnight as Sridevi’s mortals reached her house in Mumbai. Rajpal Yadav too visited the family last night. Salman and Sridevi have co-starred in Chaand Kaa Tukdaa and Chandra Mukhi. It seems that Salman’s delayed visit is probably because the 52-year-old actor was shooting for his upcoming film Race 3.
