Game: Hammerin' Harry: Ghost Building Company System: Game Boy Version: (EU) This is the longplay from the game Hammerin' Harry: Ghost Building Company (original title: Daiku no Gen-san, or "Gen the Carpenter"). It is an action and platform game, initially released in Arcades and soon on home consoles, such as the NES, Super Famicom, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and PSP, each with different versions of each other. This is the Game Boy version, which was produced by Tamtex and distributed by IREM, being released in 1993. In the game we control Harry (or "Genzo Tamura" in the original Japanese), a young carpenter, who uses a hammer to beat enemies. This game is set in the fictional city of Beranme, which becomes the target of corrupt contractors intent on overthrowing it. The plot of this game is different from the other versions, as this time Harry needs to save his girlfriend from the threat of ghosts, who also run a construction company that wants to take Beranme City at all costs. Harry's entire plot in this game takes place in a theater play, which is being watched by some people. Gameplay consists of using the hammer to attack enemies and even hitting the ground to stun them. The hammer can receive an upgrade that turns it into a Morning Star (causing more damage to enemies), and Harry can also receive protection, through a safety helmet (which prevents the hero from losing life). In addition to the platform stages, there are shooter style stages, where you need to use missiles to hit enemies, in addition to dodging obstacles. It's a good game, somewhat obscure, and with an atmosphere based entirely on Japanese culture. Hope you like it.
