@Lewis Richards: Digital Chef brings Jamie Oliver approach to IT
The Digital Chef series of videos we're putting together are examples of the kind of haptic, hands on learning that we run inside the Experience Lab and it's a bit open and transparency really, I'm a big believer in open standards, open source get that kind of stuff, none of this stuff should be secret I'm trying to make sure that I want to show people the ease in which these things can connect together, and part of it’s around showing people the art of the possible. I come up against permission culture all the time where people think; I didn't think we were allowed to experiment, I thought I had to ask permission before I could do anything and we thought by producing these kind of videos in a format along a, you know a bit of a Jamie Oliver run technology, we'd show people, well at least show people you can simply buy bits of consumer technology and tie them together and then if we see those in with basic use cases and this is why we've not put them around a specific business process we've called them the Teleporter and the Replicator and things like this. We try and do it encourage people to look at how technology could be applied to a business process because my experience is the best ideas come from the end users, that value change always the end users come up with the idea. My job is to put the technology and the functions together in front of them so they can learn how those things work.
