⬇️Important Notes 1. The concept of 6 meals got popular after multiple studies from Harvard & Stanford showcased that protein beyond 30g per meal gets oxidised into glucose. (aka gets wasted) 🥘 Therefore many bodybuilders consume 6 meals a day to evenly divide their protein intake. (keeping it under 40g per meal) 2. A new study published in Cell Reports Medicine challenges this notion. [📖Study Name: The anabolic response to protein ingestion during recovery from exercise has no upper limit in magnitude and duration in vivo in humans] ➡️ In this study 25 gram protein was compared to 100 gram protein post workout. Results show that ingestion of even 100 gram protein in one meal doesn’t elevate glucose concentrations. 3. Conclusion: You don’t necessarily have to consume 6 meals a day to evenly divide your protein intake. ✅3-4 meals with a large amount of protein per meal can work just as good.
