Cassie Casper's video: Why I came back to America and why I love my hometown

The first word pretty much anyone has uttered since I have told them I was moving, or when they find out I moved BACK to the USA, is "WHY?!" When I first left America and started my expat journey, I was young, jaded, and bitter and would have been one of those people singing the praises of anywhere but America, and especially anywhere but my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. But after an entire decade abroad, I really gained some perspective. There are pros and cons to living in any country and while America is not really its self-proclaimed "land of dreams", it is also not a god-forsaken terrible place like many people today seem to demonize it as. For me, it's home and always will be. It took me 10 years living as an expat abroad to truly realize that.
