SUBSCRIBE HERE ►http://j.mp/1250EvF◄ "Noche de Campeones III" Final Press Conference (VELEZ vs. SANTIAGO, SERRANO vs. SILGADO) The Hotel Verdanza in Isla Verde Puerto Rico, was the site of today’s “Noche de Prospectos III” press conference for Saturday (December 10th) night’s stacked boxing card promoted by Fresh Productions Boxing. This is probably the best card put together I’ve seen this year in Puerto Rico as it is loaded with talent and risks. The Main Event has former title contender Jayson “Maravilla” Velez (23-3-1 with 16 KOs) facing Alfredo “Ojo” Santiago (6-0 with 2 KOs) at 130 lbs. Most just looking at the records would immediately say this was a mismatch but those that have seen Santiago fight before know that he is a very tall technical fighter with an excellent jab. Santiago is taking the step up and wanted Velez as an opponent. Santiago is trained by Anthony Otero who also trains the Arroyo twins. If Santiago were to lose, most would say that he fought a veteran fighter and this is would be a learning experience but if Velez were to lose, this could have very debilitating effects on his career. Velez is trained by William Cruz and promised impressionable changes in his style. Santiago advised that he respects Velez and thanked him for accepting the fight. Santiago also stated that he is ready to go 20 rounds if need be. Velez during his time at the podium, always humble said that he knows Santiago is here to win as he is and if Santiago is ready for 20 rounds, so is he. Velez assured everyone that he is ready to go and thanked Cruz for getting him into the shape that he is in. Velez ended that December 10th everyone will see how ready he is. Prior to both fighters speaking Otero and Cruz assured their respective fighters were ready. Cindy Serrano (25-4-3 with 10 KOs) will attempt to make history joining her sister Amanda as the only sisters to simultaneously to be champions at the same time. Cindy will fight for the vacant WBO 126 lb. title against Colombian Calixta Silgado (15-7-3 with 10 KOs).
