BoatAdvice's video: SailFish S8 - Gold Coast Marine Expo

@SailFish S8 - Gold Coast Marine Expo
The 2017 Sailfish S8, an aluminium twin hull, is built on the new Hydroflow GEN 3 hull and judging by the people climbing aboard while it was on display at the Gold Coast International Boat Show and Marine Expo it's made quite the impression. It's always great to see an Australian manufacturer doing well and producing high quality boats with an exceptional finish and innovative solutions to everyday problems. According to Sailfish, the Gen 3 Hydroflow hull extends the waterline length by 150mm from over the GEN 2 hull allowing increased stability in the stern and faster hole shot performance, plus you now also get more boat for your money. they also have a redesigned chine section allowing increased hull lift delivering improved fuel economy and performance. The new hull also has wider running planks on the sponsons which gives the ability to run at lower RPM and increased planning time. The boat itself is the perfect fishing vessel with a large cockpit space and bait prep station on the starboard side. The chipped paint floor in the cockpit is also a no mess design that can be hosed out once the fish have come aboard. Based on the S7, it adds an additional 600mm of length and being a custom design, you can choose to adds that to the cabin or the cockpit. While the boat definitely has a fishing slant, there is plenty to keep you comfortable with berth located in the bow accessible via the cabin. The arrangement up here is very clever with two singles running bow to stern with a flushable toilet located in between. If you're after a double berth, an infill covers the gap and creates a comfortable couples arrangement. Weekends away on the water and overnight fishing missions are made in complete comfort with an enclosed cabin and running freshwater to keep anyone comfortable. Offshore game fishermen will love this one with its large footprint and trailer-ability meaning you can really take it anywhere.
