Tyler Perry Slammed For Shading a Potential Actress So Racquel Bailey decided to outside of the norm….you know….audition for a acting gig and opted to create a billboard saying: attention Mr. Perry. Racquel Bailey is your next leading lady. Tyler Perry responded to her via Instagram basically saying this is not the way to get his attention. This has happened three times. Auditions are free and you must audition if you want a spot in his movies. Here is the entire post. Well, social media didn’t take his comments very well. While some were in support of what he said there were many who thought he should have responded to her privately. Others felt as though he should have offered her a role. She posted that billboard in a public area so I don’t get how people feel he should have responded privately. He definitely used this as a teachable moment and it does not appear that she was offended so I’m not sure why people are slamming Tyler Perry. I love how people who have never acted or owned a production company have the audacity to tell this man how to run his multi-million dollar business. Listen, she tried to shoot her shot and while some would say she missed she actually did get his attention and may even the attention of other who may be able to help her get her a jump start in her acting career so cudos to her. I say respect Mr. Perry’s wishes and audition for a role in his movies like everyone else. Just because she placed those billboards does not mean she gets to pass through the process into a leading role. Keep that billboard up sis. You might get a call from Harvey Weinstein. Just saying.
