Transforming Hope 7: empowering community, inspiring joy 💙🛠️ Tune in to an all-new 'George to the Rescue' episode in which members of a community band together to transform Hope 7 Community Center — a vibrant hub in Troy, NY that offers daily after-school programs, a food pantry, and a traveling summer camp for local children — into a colorful, art-filled, and energy efficient space. Hope 7's focus is on supporting low-income families and providing them with safety, joy, and critical resources. During the summer, kids gather at Hope 7 and embark on exciting daily trips, making unforgettable memories along the way. This incredible renovation was made possible thanks to the generosity of sponsor National Grid, along with other incredible volunteers and community partners. Not only did the National Grid team help transform several spaces — including an art room and outdoor play area for the children who attend the center’s summer camp and daily after-school programs — their team joined forces with Daikon and Best Fire NY to upgrade the building's HVAC system and implement more energy efficiency measures throughout it *AND* donated an additional $50,000 to assist Hope 7 and its inspirational counselors in continuing their highly impact outreach efforts.
