Lets not waiste anymore time and get straight to the video! 1. heracleion The Lost City Of Cleopatra Heracleion The Lost City Of Cleopatra also known as Thonis was found by a diver in 1999 named Franck Goddio fast foward a decade after divers began uncovering its deep hidden treasures, archaeologists decided to create a picture of what life was like in the city in the era of the Thonis. Its Estimated That The city disappeared beneath the Mediterranean 1,200 years ago. Divers discovered trade routes in the lost city of Cleopatra. When Investagators found that the city was the trading grounds for business from Greece and elsewhere in the Mediterranean entered Egypt. Divers And Researchers have discovered the whats left over of more than 64 ships buried in the large amounts of clay and sand that now covers the sea floor. Gold coins, bronze and stone and other treasures in the treasure chest was found as well. Giant 16 foot statues have been uncovered and brought to the surface while archaeologists have found hundreds of smaller statues of minor gods on the sea floor. Multiple Layers of stone sculptures inscribed in both ancient Greek and Ancient Egyptian have also been brought up to the shore. Dozens of small limestone sarcophagi were also recently uncovered by divers and are believed to have once contained mummified animals some prehistoric. You may have learned about Cleopatra in history class. You may have even learned about Cleopatra needle but I can guess you never knew about the city in which she lived. The reason this is life changing is because "Heracleion" "Thonis" was though to be a myth or rumor. But the proof is here and this civilization clearly existed.
