From LansdowneFire.com Sunday, July 22, 2012 LFCO was dispatched to 517 Baltimore Pike in East Lansdowne for a Building fire. While in route, Police reported smoke coming from the building. Truck 19 was first arriving apparatus and found smoke a 2 Story taxpayer with smoke coming from the first floor. Truck 19 Irons man and Officer awaited a hand line, forced the front door and did a search of the first floor and basement, while the can man searched the 2nd floor apartments with the assistance of the engine 19 crew. The Outside vent man threw ladders, and went to the roof where he was assisted by the chauffeur and another Engine 19 firefighter. The roof crew took the skylights and cut inspection holes throughout the roof. The interior engine crew from 16 and 24 knocked the fire and the incident was under control rather quickly.
