In order to remove the lower timing belt cover, you need to loosen the upper timing belt cover. If you're removing the upper cover as well then you need to remove the two plastic pieces on each side of the seat, unscrew the seat, unbolt the tank, and then shift the tank to the left. Once this is shifted over you will be able to remove the crankcase ventilation tube and then lift the upper cover out from behind the frame. There are only 5 bolts that hold in the upper cover. This is a beautiful upgrade to the Streetfighter 848 and I would highly recommend it considering the ease of install. It should only take about 2 hours to complete Torque specs: Timing belt covers: 9nm (1st time) 10nm (2nd time) Oil sensor: 10nm Tools needed: 3mm, 4mm, 5mm hex key 24mm wrench for the oil sensor torque wrench with in/lbs or 9/10nm
