Imaginando's video: How to make some sounds from Chet Faker 1998 with DRC

@How to make some sounds from Chet Faker '1998' with DRC.
ATTENTION: All Pre-Gain values for DRC in this video need to be lowered by 0.250. This is because this tutorial was made with an older version of DRC which had a different tuning on the saturation stage. We have corrected the values in the Ableton session. Very positively received by both music critics and fans at the time, the track’s popularity continues to grow as more and more people outside of the ‘Faker news’ bubble discover it. There’s more than just the power of the mystical YouTube algorithm at play here. Scores of millennials whose birth year digits match the track’s title, have joyfully stumbled upon it and claimed it as ‘their song’, and it’s inclusion in the Forza Horizon 3 videogame soundtrack as part of the ‘Future Classic’ radio station, helped it serve as a showcase of Chet and fellow label mates to a new audience of gamers across Xbox and PC. 1998 has an interesting music video, as it is entirely animation based, with a very distinct line-drawing style, which presents a narrative mixed in with audio-synced visualisation elements, in a kind of graphic design, hand-drawn fireworks kind of way. An impressive project to pull off, considering the whole production process from creating the concept to delivering the final result was all completed in just two weeks. In this week’s DRC Sound Design Tutorial, Lucas breaks down the track’s brass, bass, and digital tom-tom percussive element. We’re not the reason you're looking for redemption, Team Imaginando
