This is my personal full body workout, power and hypertrophy, that I am currently doing every other week, 3 times during that week, geared to build strength and muscle. For the longest time, I only did full body workouts that comprised of compound and machine exercises. I have now modified that routine to include more compound barbell movements. I however, kept some of my favorite machine exercises like the lat pull down and hammer strength rows. Again I am doing this workout with no preworkout, fat burner, or steroids. Just growth hormones....just kidding. The Full Body Workout I warm up to my working set. I always warm up with the bar and do 10 reps. After I will usually do 135 lbs for 5 reps, then do another heavy weight for 3 reps. During my warm up, I am trying to conserve my energy for my two working sets. Rest during warm up set is 30 secs to 1 min. Rest during working set is 3-5 mins. Set 1 Power: Perform 3-5 reps. Once you can do 6 reps, go up by 10 lbs. Set 2 Hypertrophy: Perform 6-12 reps. I usually drop 25-50 lbs from my power set. Exercise 1 Flat Bench: I see a lot of people bench with their elbows flared up. This puts a lot of tension on the shoulders. For a year or so, I have now been benching with my elbows tucked down and in more. This places more tension on the chest and triceps. Exercise 2 Rack Pulls: Deadlifts are an awesome exercise for the posterior chain and core, but I find doing the exercise has thicken my waist. To compromise I now do rack pulls Exercise 3 Barbell Rows Exercise 4 Squat Exercise 5 Standing Barbell Military Press: I like to wear a belt while performing heavy lifts for this exercise, as it helps take the tension off the lower back. Exercise 6 Hammer Strength Rows Exercise 7 Lat Pull Down Exercise 8 Barbell Curls Exercise 9 Close Grip Bench Enjoy. As always like, share, and subscribe. Stay NaTTy FiT
