Plymptoons's video: Horn Dog

Love is in the air in this 2009 sequel to Bill Plympton's Oscar-nominated animated short "Guard Dog". A beautiful female dog has caught the eye of our plucky canine hero, and he wants to get her a gift, but he imagines what could go wrong with giving her chocolates or a pearl necklace. So he decides to serenade her with some violin music - of course, things don't work out like he planned. This film premiered at the Florida Film Festival in 2009 and then played in many other festivals, including the Seattle International Film Festival, Anima Mundi in Brazil, the Palm Springs Shortsfest, the Jerusalem International Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival. It won awards for Best Animated Short at the World of Comedy Film Festival in Toronto, Best Cel Animation at the Garden State Film Festival, and Best Animation at the Marin County Festival of Short Film & Video.
